or you could do what i did 17 years ago. i had the 5.0 mustang vortech running 10.80@ 125... on the street no traction it would just spin at will. i ran mccreary, m&h, hoosier quick times..nothing helped..
than ding ding one night i had an idea
i drilled two holes above the wheel wells on each side and ran 3/8 inch line into each whole on both sides. the lines-hoses ran into a 1 gallon vht/trackbite can with a pump. ran one line to ground the other to the fuse box and with a switch mounted in my ashtray...i had traction in 5 seconds. someone wanted to screw around...throw the switch, quick burn out and i was running hot sticky tires coated with vht/trackbite...no spinning, dead hooking....and alot of money made with unsuspecting suckers.
Is there anything I can add to give my car more traction. I'm spinning from 1st to 2nd even with the traction control on. Maybe traction bars?
Traction bars are for preventing wrap-up under heavy accelleration on lengthwise mounted leaf springs. Modern Corvettes use a single transverse mounted leaf in the rear.
I think the answer is better tires and learning to modulate the throttle. It works for me with my 402 stroker.
