Supporting mods needed with aftermarket cam?
On a basically stock 01 Z06 if I want to go with an MS3 or MS4 camshaft what else do I need aside from good valvesprings and a tune?

You might need different length pushrods depending on the base circle of the new cam

and even if you could use the same length, I would get stronger ones than stock , nice insurance and piece of mind.

How much am I looking at for cam/springs/push rods? Also, what's the going rate for labor to install all that stuff?

Think about replacing the timing chain with a better one, as well as adding a timing chain tensioner. Maybe the LS2? Do a search. I went with an SLP double roller, but I hear that might not be the best choice (no trouble for me yet). Also, since you're in there, replace the pulley bolt with an ARP. It's only around $25.

^^I was advised not to do this because it is better for the pushrod to break than to put the valves into the pistons.

^^New timing chain, ported oil pump, new pulley, better lifters (LS7), and also consider after-market rocker arms to reduce wear on valve train.

headers aren't necessary but im pretty sure they're important if you want to see the full potential of any aftermarket cam
