ok, last night one of the locating pins on my roof (coupe) snapped off at the base as i was getting out of my driveway (steep driveway + come out at severe angles = lots of torque on chassis and roof hard points). not that big a deal, right? drill the piece left in the roof's tapped hole, tap a reverse thread hole and back the piece out....well, as i was doing step one, i had already gotten about 1/4" deep and decided i wanted to go a bit deeper. i put the drill back in and start slowly going deeper....*SNAP*....my high speed steel drill bit snapped and plugged the nice hole i had drilled for the tap.
now what do i do?? i tried going in with a slightly bigger bit but it won't bite on the drill bit steel at all (i didn't expect it to but had to give it a try).
any ideas?

hard to follow what your saying?

I heard Sears sells counter clockwise drill bits. That might losen up the broken bit.
