Default headlight problem

moved this post over from general topics, Have a problem with my lights not coming on. Turn the switch and they pop up but do not light, tail lights are the same. They do work with a jump switch in micro relay #43 and #44 in the inside fusebox. multi function switch or ground maybe? relays are good got them tested. thanks for any help.

Does your car have the Twilight Sentinel option? If so, do the lights come on when it is enabled (and dark outside, or cover the dash sensor).

I just ordered a new multi-function switch today to fix a problem where the headlights come on, but the taillights do not.

Could well be the switch. There are contacts for the headlight doors, and another set of contacts for the actual lamps. They have been known to make weak contact (not enough pressure to really connect), but can be corrected if you're a little bit brave. Here's the link to the thread...

Damn!!! I was unaware of that thread and just ordered a new switch today!! Unfortunately I can't cancel the order since it was an auction...

Man, that looks like an easy fix, too!

EDIT: I just spent an hour and fixed the problem per the linked thread above. Sorry to hi-jack the post... Thanks!
