Default Throughts wanted about this Mod...

I've recently done, what I believe, are some nice mods to my '00 FRC.

In the Engine Bay:
I had Vengance Racing, add a nice "baby" Comp Cam with rockers, springs and P Rods.
They installed a LG Street Long Tube System with B&B Bullet 4" Duals.
New Z-06 wires and plugs.
And Dyno tuned the car.

Results were 356 rwp and 364 tq. Respectable I believe.
Yes nothing to write home about, but I love the new "Attitude" the Vette has.

So here's the QUESTION:

I have purchased a LS6 intake and a Shaner P&P TB and have yet to install them.
I've been toying with the idea of selling the above combo and going with a FAST 90/90 set-up done by Vengance.

Will I realize double the Hp/Tq difference with the FAST over the LS6 based on the $600 vs $1400 layout of cash ?????????????

well Id never pay 1400 for a 90/90! there is always people selling them here and other forums for 1000 for both slightly used. Now if it was me and Like I am planning in the future to go with some wildly ported heads then Id put the 90/90 to compliment it all!

I don't think you can go wrong with the LS6 intake. I would entertain the FAST if I was building an all out drag car, but there are plenty of guys out there running in the 10's with LS6 intakes.

The 90/90 set-up is an overkill for a stock cubed engine---The Shaner/LS6 manifolfd will be a much better choice--I don't think you would gain any HP with your cam and cubes and would lose driveability and the codes would lite up like a X-Mas tree---Go LS6 -- (IMHO)

For a few hundred more dollars than the difference between intakes you could buy a nice set of ported and polished LS-6 heads and pick up a lot more power. Just an idea.

I agree. With your basically stock engine, you may not see the gains you expect from the Fast 90. You can get a nice set of ported and polished heads for around $1100, find a used LS6 intake for $300 and port the TB yourself $0. If you got bored with that, you would then have a platform that could take advantage of the FAST 90/90.

Default Excellent responses...

Again excellent responses guys. The 90/90 would be the intake and TB for $1400, sorry I did not clarify that.

I'll stick with the LS6 and TB and begin looking for a set of reasonable priced P&P Heads.

IMO go to the FAST when you have tapped out all the other areas for HP gains. After heads and cam/nitrous, you go to a low return per dollar ratio for HP. 800 dollars for 10 HP
