A known behavior of the C5 is that its computer systems will drain the battery if the car is not driven for more than 3 weeks. This is also noted in the owner's manual. And as mentioned the car needs to be adequately driven to keep the battery fully charged (at least 30 minutes) so a short drive around the block won't be enough.
Deltran Battery Tender is the answer. I've had mine for 6 seasons with no worries.

I replaced my battery last 4th of july with an energizer, before that it was also on the previous 4th of july. If my vette isn't going to be started for more than a month at a time, I'll disconnect the battery. But even driving it once a week or so, seems to kill these energizers. It was completely dead 2 weeks ago, charged it at 2amps for 2 days and it fired right up, drove it for the weekend, then tried to drive it again this past weekend and it was dead again Its the same brand thats in the wifes caddy and in the elcamino, and I've never had an issue with either. Maybe some vette just has an appetite for batteries?
