I've got a 2003 with a Magnacharger, AFR heads, cam, etc. etc. and have had an ongoing problem with loosing belts. my current solution my current attempt at solving this was to have deep flange pulleys machined for the alternator and supercharger. Now the problem is that the factory alternator has the clutch pulley. I need an alternator with the conventional pulley. Apparently the automatics came with the clutch pulley and the sticks with a conventional pulley. I've ordered stick rebuilts (different part #'s) but they are now all rebuilt with clutch
pulleys. Any ideas from anybody. THANKS !!!
Magnuson has a fix for the belt coming off. It's an additional pulley mounted on top of belt at alternator. I had the same problem, as I have the same alternator with clutch pulley. You just remove top bolt on alternator, they supply a longer bolt with new pulley. Since I installed the pulley, I don't have any belt problems anymore.
I was looking at the rpo code list, does corvette make two different alternator's for the vette? Mine is classified as 110 amps, but they also state that there is a 145 amp alt, but it also said it was a typo, Not sure on this one?

The early C5's used the 14Volt, 110amp Valeo made in France part number-10246634. I believe it was 2001 that they went to the 145amp alternator.
