Default is this cam too big

233/239, .595"/.603" ?

02 coupe... a4, vig3200, 3.42, LG longtube, o/r x pipe, borla catback, and haltech. i'd like to get close to 360-370 rwhp N/A, but i dont know if this is too big of a cam for stock heads. more than likely, i'll be installing a NX kit i have lying around as well.

I would check the Piston to Valve clearance very carefully.

Not at all to big if you have proper ptv clearance and a good tuner.

Not too "big" but not needed for your goals....I got almost 340rwhp/350rwtq with the mods in my sig (same tranny, headers, etc). You already have the LS6 intake and the more aggressive '02 cam so you should be at least pushing 350/350 with your mods and good tune. If you only want another 10 or 20 rwhp the cam your looking at is way more than necessary.

A Lingenfelter GT2-2 which is 208/220 will idle like stock and get you those extra 20rwhp. Or you could go with the proven 224/224 for a more aggressive sound/lope and even more horsepower on the stock heads...

You'll be fine. It's all in the tune. My cams slightly bigger and I didn't have to flycut the pistons by the way. You should hit your numbers no problem.

Sounds like the cam will be OK. Be sure to change the valve springs, tho.

Peice of mind is worth the hour and a half investment to mock up everything and check the PTV. I got a cailper from harbor freight for 16 bucks and checked it twice.

Well the Trex cam fits with stock heads so I'd hope you would be fine. Its a 242/248 .609/.612 (around that?) on a 108-110 LSA

I just put this cam in last week. 233/239 on a 113 lsa., dual springs new push rods etc. I have Dynatech headers, 3600 TC with 373 gears. It made 385 rwhp/355 rwtq on a Mustang dyno. The cam compliments the TC. Idle set at 910 rpms from 820. Rev limit re-set to 6700 and this cam kept making power. Turns on at 3500 rpms. I have a tire issue now!!!!

I will post Dyno sheet this week for you. I love this cam. Sounds frick'n mean.
