Default HELP:No can shift

Well guys I am extremely sad at the moment. Last night I was driving my car back and then all of the sudden I had no way of shifting other than hard shifting. I do think that the slave cylinder isn't working. I checked the level at the reservoir that is above the driver's wheel fender but it accepted maybe 3 tablespoons of fluid. I didn't see any leaks. I am able to shift it into all the gears if the engine is turned off. So basically I set it into gear then crank it and go. I delivered it to the stealer-ship this morning. I want to think that this is simply a me not knowing where the level check is? or maybe just a slave master cylinder gone bad? I'd appreciate any input you guys may have.

Cheers-
Wounded

Had the same problem. Think it is the slave also. Will know in the near future. Another guy recently had similar problems which turned out to be a bad slave. I posted into his thread so if you run a search on my name his post should come up.

Remember clutch forks?? It was nice to be able to see what was happening without removing the entire driveline. Memories...

Thanks for the responses guys. Yes it the problem seems to me to be the slave. I had the slave go out on my 96 z28 and it appears to be the same. However the Service at Bill Heard is not getting ANY points whatsoever in my book. I've called 5 times and haven't gotten a response!! Any good dealerships in the area? I'd hate to get my work done at a place that has no customer service skills. Help me out with this one
