Default Header Question's

Hey guys I just bought some used TPIS headers and looking to install them soon.
My question is are these easy to install with a lift and how long average time to install?

Do I need 02 extensions?

I am also looking to put some high flow cats on and wondering what size I need?

Also what kind of gaskets work the best?

Are you using stock manifold bolts or locking ones? If locking where can I finds them?

Thanks I appreciate it!!!

Are they easy? Well, it is remove/replace but some of the long tubes are just downright hard... The procedure is not hard, but getting the headers themselevs into position is hard.

They will fit, you just need to convince them...

For your other questions, my headers came with their own bolts, so that is what I uesd. I did not need the O2 extensions, I used GM gaskets (layered metal style) and my cats were 3" in and 2.5" out.

If you haven't visited ls1howto.com, you really should.

THANKS for the reply. I just wanted to make sure of a few things before I bought some things. Have your header bolts backed out at all? I remember on my camaro they did all the time and that is why I was thinking of the locking ones. Not looking forward to the install lol

I never had issues with bolts backing out. I haven't read of many people having that problem here, either. Now, on a gen 1 small block, I swear the threads were desgned to back out on their own...

Thanks for all the inpout guys you are the best!!! I think they dont need them so I didnt order them and if I do it is easier to order rather than return the 02 extensions. I decided on using the GM exhaust manifold gaskets since that is what a lot of others are using. Hope that was a better choice then the Percy's XX Carbon Header Gaskets. Other than that I think I am set.
