Default Seafoam question

Can seafoam be poured directly into the engine crank caseor is it better to use the sucking method, or both? I can not find the link that shows the pictures on where the proper hose is and directions.

Thank you for your help.

Max results from the "sucking" method. Can't hurt to dump it in the fuel!

pull the hose off your brake booster drum and keep your thumb on it. When ready to pour, take your thumb off, pour a little seafoam in and put your thumb back. Let the idle adjust back to normal, and repeat, repeat, repeat. I think most folks use about half a can at a time. When its ingested, turn car off and let it sit. When you start back up after about 30 min, it will smoke like a b**ch for a few minuites as it burns off all the crap that came out of the manifold.

I put a pint in the crankcase after driving the car to get it up to operating temperature. I let it idle for close to an hour and then drained it and changed the oil. The oil was a dark amber color before I put in the Seafoam and absolutely pitch black when I checked it again before draining it. It probably cleaned sludge ot of the bottom of the oil pan and cleaned crud off other parts.

Seafoam in the PCV line does a good job of cleaning grunge in the intake system. Put it in the fuel tank and it cleans the injectors.

Another tip - be SURE and tell your neighbors on both sides and across the street what you're going to do and what is going to happen so they don't call the fire department (don't ask).

another good hose to use is the one from the PCV hose.
I also put a can in each winter. It is a great fule stabilizer and fuel system cleaner
