I installed the high wattage European headlights today. Everything is working just fine. Only problem is when I turn the headlights off, I just hear a click and nothing. I can leave the lights off and wait a few minutes, I can turn the headlights on and off they will lower.
I've double checked the ground and relays. Not sure where else to look.
Not much to go on from your post but I'm thinking it is a problem in the light stalk on the steering column or perhaps even a bad headlight control module located behind the passenger headlight assembly.
I really think it is the latter since I have experience with this going bad and your indication that you can turn lights on/off and get them to go down is what happened for me prior to replacing the control module.
Are these HID's? If so, they are not high wattage, just high output and there is a difference. If they are HID's, I have seen a technical post in here about putting a resistor in the circuit somewhere. Do a search and you should find it.
