Default Which Piston to Run?

Im currently building a forged LS2 with ported 317 heads 72cc. Im wanting to run Mahle pistons, with Scat H-beam rods 6.125, with stock crank. Im running A&A's D1SC, and shooting for around a 9:5-1 compression. Which cc, pistons should I run, rings, gaskets etc.. in order to meet my compression goal?
Thanks guys

I've been researching this for my current build and it all depends on your budget. My best advise to you is call some these engine builders vendors here on the left and ask questions. On my build I'm thinking of Diamond or JE pistons and hell fire rings and GM head gaskets . Try this link below to find out what cc pistons for your right combo.

I prefer JE's, cost as no concern.
I use Mahle's as well.

I prefer less compression as well.

Just make sure the pistons have no/low silicon content (2618 alloy). The 4030 alloy isn't that much different from stock hypertech alloy.

If you plan to use L92/LS3 heads, the valve relief is of a different size and location. You'll need pistons flycut for L92 valves. The table below gives compression ratios for combustion chamber sizes. The pistons for my LS3 build are full dish, but have a .300" flat quench area at the edge to help prevent detonation, Diamond tech told me that narrower quench areas don't prevent detonation. Mahle dished pistons have a quench area about .200".

Which are better? The Mahle ones made from 4032 or the 2618's? I know that one was better than the other, but not sure which ones.

I've heard that JE's and Diamonds were Very good!

Looks like blu00rdstr answered my question! Thanks

The 2618 is what everyone should get for FI-the 4032 all oy is like stock replacement in my book.

He's building a supercharged car-less compression equals less power and torque.

Where's all the 900 rwhp hp 8.9:1 compression centri cars?
