I did the mod its a straight forward installation. Nothing really tricky when doing these just find a DIY Web Page... I forgot where I printed out the directions from. Do you have selective ride? (F45) I still need it turned off, going to have it turned off when I get a tune, but I know you can make resistors to trick the computer which I did also.
If your car is at the stock ride height, then the C6ZO6 shocks are better.
If your car is lowered, then either the Bilstein HD or Sports are the way to go.
This is based on a lot of forum reading I did before choosing my Bilstein Sports. My car is lowered on the stock bolts, which was the pinnacle point of my shock decision.
I've got C6Z shocks on my C5. My car is lowered on stock bolts with these shocks. I have no other suspension mods. The car handles like a dream. I love it. Other shocks might be better but for the price these are great shocks. I haven't experienced other shocks to give any comparisons though. All I know is even the Corvette performance shop that installed them was very happy with the way it turned out after install of the shocks and lowering on stock bolts.
Here are a couple photos of the car with the shocks and lowered.
