Don't know much about TPIS headers, but I would look into LG streets or pros depending on what you're going for.

American Racing Headers are good also and easy to install.

I recently installed the TPIS headers. Very happy, no issues and went in with little trouble.

TPIS Headers seem to be very good budget headers and are definitely worth the gains for the dollar. JMO of course.

Not sure what they are made of now but they used to be steel. Whatever brand you choose make sure they are stainless.

They are mild steel which is a problem to some. They don't tend to take the heat as well. Again, good budget headers.

Ive had mine on for 5 years and have not had any problems and have never had to tighten a bolt. Would highly recommend these headers.

Ive had my ceramic coated TPIS headers for a few years with NO problems at all, before I did the engine mods I had them hooked up to the Corsa Pace exhaust and they sounded amazing... Now with everything else Ive done, they sound incredible. I've always had good dyno results with them and they still look new. Mine are ceramic coated and I dont think they are budget headers at all. You can see the quality of fit and finish, TPIS is a great shop with really good LS1 products. LG's and Kooks are great headers and are the latest craze on the forum, back a couple years it was TPIS. Long story short, you will NOT be disappointed with these.

Default Header Question

I have to agree with Chris's previous comment;

"Not sure what they are made of now but they used to be steel. Whatever brand you choose make sure they are stainless"

For me the problem with any mild steele/ceramic coated header is one of longevity. Under certain conditions peolple have reported that these headers will rust. That was an issue for me. I've never heard of anyone reporting stainless steele rusting. That quality was the reason why I narrowed my choices to stainless steele products.

I chose LG Steets because they are the best value in price and quality for someone not looking to go with "radical" hp. They are awesome!
Just my humble opinion.
