I just bought a set of LG Street series headers. I plan on installing these myself and would like to know if this is difficult or even doable without a lift. I have a set of ramps and jackstands. Appreciate feedback from someone who has installed a set of these. Thanks.

Doable without a lift? Yes. Easy? No. You need to insure you can get the car high enough to be able to work under there. I for one just don't feel that safe with the car jacked up in the air...
Mine was a little easier -- I had both heads off and both sides dropped down from the top. If you don't have the heads off I think it is the passenger that drops in from top, but the driver has to go in from the bottom. Means you have to get your car something like 20" off the ground!!!
Good luck!
(Also, I'd recommend upgrading the clamps. I tried the ones they supplied and never got them to seals at the cats. I used TorcTites.)
it looks like your gonna do an air tube conversion too.
One of the bigger PIA's in the install... Get a newer model AIR hose from Gene at gmpartshouse.com or cut the old one and splice in some high heat hose, but you have to be very far from the headers or it will burn.
Get some 6 or 8 ton jack stands, they will have a bigger base and be more stable. Look at putting the rear wheels on the ramps and the front on Jack stands, 20 inches is a good number. But, do it the way you feel safe and comfortable.
I installed my LGs myself just using jacks & jack stands. About 20" up is about the height you need. Not too bad to do except the air tube upgrade is a real PIA. That part is time consuming & not to mention frustrating!

I just did this job with stands on my 02 z06. I didnt have to deal with the AIR conversion, but overall the job went quite smoothly except for the battle wounds. It took me a good while to get it all done, about 8 hrs all in all for this segment. I just wish i could fire it up (halfway through putting a TSP torquer v3 in it).
to answer ur clamp question; there are 6 clamps, 4 2.5s and 2 3s. the clamps that come with the headers look ok to me, but I suppose it couldnt hurt to get beefer ones.

Thanks. I assume the 3" clamps are used at the collectors and the 4 2.5" clamps would be for the X-pipe?
