I know this is going to sound like a silly question, and yes I did a search, but is it normal for the converter to unlock after getting off the throttle at highway speeds? IOW, when I lift off the gas pedal and then get back on it, the trans seems to slip then shift back up. I'm assuming this is the converter unlocking then relocking.
Yes, and also if you hit the brakes or you brake switch is not adjusted right. Hold it steady at 75 mph while slightly touching the brake pedal and you will get the same thing.
The STOCK TCC release table speeds are very close to the apply speeds--Without touching the brake pedal of course--(as this relases the TCC)---the split is usually only 2 MPH at lower TPS--so if it applies at 45 MPH it will release at 43 MPH
When I do A4 tuning I always increase the split--set the release speed down to about 38 ---then adjust the entire table accordingy throughout the TPS range--This will keep it from having that annoying release or unlock everytime you lift a little or go up a slight grade

Thanks for the info. I going to install 3.42's in the near future so I'll have the shop retune like this.
