Default Tire Pressures

Just got an 03 Z06.
It has the GY F1s. The manuf. rec. pressure is 30psi all around. On every other car I have owned, I prefer running pressures higher than recommended, usually around 36psi.

What do people run for pressures?

Thanks for the input. I'm sure I'll have more questions as I spend more time with the car(2 days so far)

If you run 36 PSI cold on the GY F1 Supercar tires I can GUARANTEE you will wear the center of the tires out way sooner than you will believe ....

The tire is a VERY wide tire, and is very sensitive to tire pressure. Many have found that running the tire at about 31 to 32 PSI when it is HOT is about the ideal temperature for good treadwear. Any higher and the center of the tread wears quickly, and lower, the edges (which wear fast anyway due to the cars alignment) wear much to quickly.

36 COLD ... no way ........

Thanks. Again, about what I expected but wanted to be sure. Looks like I'll start with the recommended 30 and go from there (although it doesn't sound like I'll go far )

But I might add that most of us have found 28 or 29 cold to be better in the rear due to the center wear.
