I'm looking at a staggard set of tires, the fronts are 1.6" shorter than the rears. (18s and 19s)
Is 1.6" too much?? Is it going to cause my car to throw AH codes??
Thanks for any input you might have on this,
Andy
The AH and TC systems are built with a small amount of tolerance before they get activated. I think 1.6 inches is probably not going to cause immediate problems because it is at least in the correct direction of smaller in front. However, making changes like this "uses up" some of the tolerance the system has and when you make a maneuver that requires AH or TC intervention, it will be either that much more sensitive or delayed, depending on which action takes place. In other words, when it does intervene, it will not quite be when or as expected. It's your call. Other than that, I don't think you will get any codes.
