Does anyone have these or know if they are worth it? I wont buy them new but if I can get a good deal I may go for it. before I pull the trigger I wanted to see what some of you guys think. will I see a significant difference with these over my stock manifolds or not so much like with true longtubes? I know i will see some sort of difference but im trying to get an idea of how much. maybe someone out there has these on their car or knows someone who does can chime in. Thanks!

The SLP tuned longtubes have served me well...are they the best on the market,I would say not. However, they are a big improvement over stock manifolds and you will see a nice increase in HP & TQ. SLP is a sponsor on LS1TECH...click on their logo for more information.
I installed a set on my car prior to doing a heads / cam install. The SLP headers are great for building low end torque. They look a bit odd due to the tuned lengths of each tube for scavenging exhaust with minimal pulsation. Installation is a major PITA and you have to perform surgery on the major wiring harness on the passenger side to clear the header. For the money and effort I would not do them again but I did enjoy them when I had them on the car. I had installed 1-3/4" tubes and they were too restrictive for my mods.

My car has managed to run in the 10's at 136 MPH with the SLP tuned headers...so they can't be all that restrictive. 558/515 on a Mustang dyno. As stated eariler their not the best on the market, but their more than adequate.
Well it sounds like it may be worth it if i get them for the right price. and what kind of "surgery" to the harness are we talking about? that part i dont like, unless you wanna help me put them in.
