Default Alignment specs...

First time posting in C5 forum -- normally hang out in C1/C2...

Just discovered yesterday that wife's '04 vert with 32K miles has worn inner edge of front tires (OEM run-flats) to the point that not only are steel belts visible through the rubber but ends of steel have actually broken free and are sticking up like little spikes...

Have two new Michelin RF's on order and will be getting 4-wheel alignment.

Apparently had way too much camber but alignment has never been touched since it left the factory.

Car is NOT driven aggressively -- mainly around town, commuting to work 15 miles on interstate, and occasional extended trip up and down I-95. Should I leave camber at (or re-set to) factory specs or might there be alternate settings to improve tire wear without adversely affecting handling? Should I just favor low limit on camber setting?

Or am I just asking for too much -- good handling and good tire wear?

Thanks

Frank

thats factory settings... i think the camber should be near or closer to 0 in order to not get the wear. it will compromise handling, but if its just a DD... then it wont be that noticeable.
