I guess if I have to say when it happens, I will guess on take off, but just if I feather the pedal. but I was going about 30 mph and foot lightly on the pedal, the rpms stayed the same, but the speedometer kept going up. just slightly. is that slipping?
if the rpms go way up and the spedometer doesn't and you're not smoking the tires... its slipping.
That's exactly what mine did last week.. I was hoping to have the new tranny in by end of this week so I could have the car for this weekend but got call this AM- won't be ready til Monday or Tues.
I lost O/D and was slipping pretty bad in 1 and 2 a couple of weeks ago and no code was sent to the DIC even though it is supposed to. Much was messed up inside the tranny (metal chunks and all kids of grooved parts...either rebuild or buy a new one was the choice...I had the tranny rebuilt, added a couple of new heavier-duty parts as well as took the diff apart for a cleaning and new seals - $3k was the bill...good luck.

I'd recommend you check and see if any DTC have been posted. Go here for instructions if you haven't done this before ....
DTC do not just "magically" appear on the DIC, you have to request the display.
If you suspect that the transmission is slipping, the first possible cause is low hydraulic fluid.
Post any DTC that come up in the display, and if you want instructions on how to check the tranny fluid level ... let us know. The Corvette does not have a dipstick .... and DO NOT take it to your local oil change/lube joint for them to check it. You need someone who KNOWS a Corvette to check it.
