Default SLP Powerflo exhaust question

Hello all! I am proud to say I am back within the community! I recently purchsed my second Vette (2000 Convertible) after a 5 year absence. I was wanting to poll the site to see what everyone's experience was with the SLP Powerflo exhaust. I am looking at the other major brands out there but have grown to like the way the powerflo fills the rear out. Any suggestions? I would like to hear about in car resonance, install, reasons for or against purchasing, and rough price please. Thanks in advance.

Hey, I run the Powerflo on my car and I really like it. It is fairly loud with my long tubes though. If I had it to do over though I would buy the same exhaust again.

If you decide to go with one let me know, I will see what kind of deal I can get you on one.

FRCBobby, thanks for the reply. Can you sned me pics of yours? How is the in car resonance? You say yours is loud? When? During idle, With a lil pressure applied to the right pedal, cruise? I am searching the market right now and in the middle of selling my house and buying another. Once the deal is done, upgrades here I come.

The idle isn't bad. There is a bit of resonance from it, in my opinion it is about same amount of resonance as you see from the Borla Stingers. The car get very loud under WOT but again I have long tubes and no converters.

here are a few pics, theyy aren't very high quality though.

They may not be high quality to you but that is a vey nice setup! Definently worth considering. I am just wondering what how much in car resonance I will get when they are paired up with the headers. Hmmm!

bharvey6, I think you misunderstood me I meant the pics are not high quality. I am extremely satisfied with the exhaust and would recommend it to anyone.

You will have some resonance when joined with the headers, I am just not sure how to explain how much though.

I was referring to the pics too. I thought both your sled and the exhaust were awesome! IYO, headers teamed up with this exhaust- teeth shattering or bearable? I am also considering the Callaway Double D's.

FRCBobby, the fate of my wallet lies in your hands. I keep looking at your pics and they are selling themselves! I think I want to go with the Supermaxx header and X-pipe setup, the PowerFlo exhaust, and the Vararam.

A vote for Corsa if you are still shopping. I am only familiar with Corsa and Borla but of these two I feel Corsa has the more engineered sound. If you search Corsa catbacks you will notice frequent reference to the lack of unpleasant resonance. If the car is a toy it doesn't really matter too much but if she car doubles as your sunny day commuter in the summer, the smoother the better. It is not quiet when you get on it but doesn't have the rumble at idle that many people like.
