Default Slow pop up headlights?

Well I have been putting some miles on my car here recently and trying to work all the bugs out of her after sitting 11 months while dealing with my tranny woes. And 2 new problems have popped up. I have a leaking oil pan gasket, which I'm really not looking forward to replacing and I have headlights that take there sweet time on popping up?

When I turn the headlights on the lights turn on but they don't pop up? After the cxar runs for a couple minutes they'll shoot right up 100mph as always. Sometimes they pop right up but most of the time lately it takes 3 or 4 minutes of driving before they shoot up. They don't make any noise so its not a bad gear, in fact one motor is dang near brand new the other is original. But didn't have any problems before. My first thought is its a bad relay but I can't even find where the headlight relay is? What do you guys think?

Thanks again for all your help, you guys have been a lifesaver in the past!

By the way has anyone replaced there oil pan gasket before? Looks llike I need to drop the front suspension to reach it?

I just wanted to refresh this issue and get it out front so someone could see it and possibly help me. Hope thats alright? Also does my c5 have a relay that controls the headlights and headlight motors? I imagine it does but have no idea where it is? If you know please let me know! Thanks

There is a headlight control module located behind the passenger headlight assembly. It does sound like this is your problem.

I bought a used one from a late model C5 for about $100 and it fixed my similar problems. New I think they cost over $200?

Hope this helps
