Engine Miss/dtc Codes??????
I've had my '01 for about 2 months now and am still working out the bugs. I have picked up an engine miss lately. The power is down and you can hear/feel the miss at about 3K RPM. Occasionally, the miss is gone and the car runs like a bat out of hell, but when the miss is present, it has less power. What is the obvious way to troubleshoot?? Injector, plug wire, electrical, I'm lost since it is occasional.
2nd problem...I picked up the SERVICE ACTIVE HANDLING in the DIC. The codes are C1287 and C1288 which correspond to a steering sensor problem. I have cleaned the two ground wire connectors under hood. I am off to drive again to see if this fixes it or not. Does this sensor normally fail, or is it usually a bad ground??
