Default Which brake pads?

I have EBC Greenstuff and would like something with a bit more grip! I wash the car every week so dust is not a big problem. Even the EBC's dust quite a bit.

RonWhite,

You know which ones I would recommend for a little better bite.

We have them in stock and they are the best so far we have tested.

They last long and have great performance specs.

Hope this helps you out!

Shawn

Shawn suggested the hawk Street Pads for me and they have been good on the track and street. Also they appear to be kind to the rotors. Still have some brake dust but not the ugly black stuff from the stock pads.

I'm running the new 01 compound from Performance Friction. They are considered a racing compound but also behalf very well on the street. Unlike most racing pads they even work when they are stone cold coming out of my garage in the morning. I have been to several track events and a dozen autocrosses since I had them installed a few months ago -- they are being very kind to my rotors. :D :D

They are louder than most pads, but only when you are touching very lightly.

I have a Question here: LAPD- Shawn what is the material on the "Hawk" pads? And for BluFRC same Q for you on the Pref. Friction pads?? I have heard that the RayBestos pads are good and stop REAL good and can handle the heat of racing well as there made of some ceramic material??

Z06Bill,

I am glad you are enjoying the Corsa Pace/GTR system.

Hawk Performance Brake Pads are the only performance brake pads on the market manufactured from Ferro-Carbon. These two elements combined together provide superior braking performance, heat suppression characteristics, almost no severe brake fade and are very rotor friendly. As with almost all pads available today, you will get brake dust on your wheels, but there is NO WAY to prevent that.

I always say this and always remember this when looking for a performance brake pad that you can trust in emergency stop situations:

"A dustless pad is a stopless pad."
