need help!! weird sound from transmision

Missed a shift at high RPM!!!!!!! please help
i had to get the car towed the other day. its making a very weird and grinding noise when u start driving it. i missed a shift at high rpm and it started making a very loud noise. the car will start moving but once u go a little more then 5 mph it makes the horrible noise and disappers when u step on the clutch and put in nuetral.lets say you put it in 1st gear and start driving it makes a very weird and loud noise. even in every gear. i dont think its the clutch cuz then the car wouldnt move at all. the noise doesnt happen right away, maybe when your traveling about 5 mph. can some one please help me out. i dont even know where to take the car.

Whether you damaged the tranny or the clutch, either way, its going to have to come apart. That implies "dealer time" unless you know of a better shop such as a place that specializes in Corvettes. Also, don't attempt to drive it any more as you could possibly cause more damage
