DRM Stainless Long tube headers works very well for me, at least so far with about 2years/8500 miles on my car. Perfect fit, no cracking, high finish (ceramic coated)and easy access to spark plugs. http://www.dougrippie.com
This topic always gives me a headache as there are so many choices with so many opinions! I'm pondering the same question and have no idea which one I should get right now!
There were issues with TPIS, but they just came out with a revised header that is supposed to have fixed the problem. If you just want a set that you are going to drop in and never worry about I would suggest TTS. I haven't heard of anything negative with them besides having slightly smaller tubes.
Re: Which Long tube header for C5? ('98 Six Speed)
I highly recommend the TTS headers. On the contrary, their smaller tubes are not a negative point at all on a bolt on or heads/cam C5. The small tubes actually help increase the torque in the low and mid rpm ranges. The more power you gain in this area, the more you can feel it, and the more often you feel it. If you go with tube diameters that are overkill your main power gains are higher in the RPM range where they are not as often used or felt.
There is a reason Steve Cole chose to use smaller tubes on his headers and it was NOT to cut costs. He did a lot of R&D on dynos to come up with the optimum diameter for C5s with mods that a majority of people have. I can tell you I am not lacking any power up top with these headers, even with my rather agressive heads/cam package.
Also, these headers are the best quality I have seen out on the market. We have never had a customer come back with any quality problems.
We are a dealer of these headers and always have great pricing on them, drop me an email if you want any more info.
I have the Belangers. Too new to form an opinion, but they look good. :D Seriously though, the Belangers are supposed to be the Rolls Royce of headers. Definately pricey, but you know the saying, "You get what you pay for". :)

Belangers provide great quality, fit and mid-power increase. Get the headers heat treated to also reduce the heat in the engine bay. Have had the headers on for a year and a half with no problems...
jeremy,
I see that from numbers that the other guys are putting out etc Did LG test these on a dyno machine other than there own?
Todd
I would be happy to dyno my car on any other dyno in town - LG's dyno typically readys 5-10RWHP lower than other local ones. One for example at FAStech has the dyno facing backwards so that the car pulls in fresh cool air from outside and the dyno's temperature sensor reads higher temperatures from the exhaust coming from the car. These type of temp differences are what usually alter the correction factor and lead to some dyo's reading higher than others.
The dreaded header topic has been beaten to death!!!! :D
We here at Xtreme sell and install all available long tube headers for the C5/Z06. Please give us a call for a non biased opinion on whats the best header for your application. A vendor war seems to break out everytime this subject is posted. Thank you!

At $1,229 I don't doubt he did do much to cut cost. I'm not slamming TTS headers, but I'm waiting/wanting to see the difference in TQ curves when they (that speed shop who is doing a comparison on headers on the same car) compare the TTS, TPIS, and many other types of headers. I do agree with MattG, As far as the best performing, most reliable header - TTS wins in my book. That is at least until we see how reliable the LG headers are
If you want the best IMHO Call DRM. BTW TPIS makes a high quality piece and stands behind there products. They did have some problems but have them fixed. Other Tuners and Vendors have had there share of problems, the test is how the issues are handled.
