May be the wrong forum section, but need help. Have a 2004 C-5 coupe. My passenger side window will not go down. It will not work from the driver side control or the passenger side. See a dimming of light's when the button is hit and hear a click but no movement. Getting ready to take to dealer but wanted to check here for advice first.
Thanks

SEARCH first and save everyone a lot of time. Turn on your ignition, hold down the window down switch and slam the passenger door a couple of times and see if your window doesn't start to work. If not wiggle the accordion covered wire bundle in the door jamb with the switch pressed. If not, then start the door panel removal referred to in the above post. Post what you find for more info on repair (or need thereof).
Yeah, a good rap on the window while pushing the down switch will usually make it go. If it does, you aren't using that window enough and the contacts are corroding.

Careful, don't rap on the window. Rap on the door near the inside door pull handle while holding the down switch with the ignition on. Or as I said, open and close the door firmly while holding the down switch. Let us know.
I wasn't implying that the OP rap on it so hard that it might break it. Just give it a knudge in the downward direction while pushing the down switch. That will usually get it moving and clean up the motor contacts at the same time.
