Default Hurst problems revisited

So my last thread about hurst mentioned problems banging 3rd gear while racing. Well someone posted about the L shaped tube being out of adjustment and to check it. Well I start pulling the console apart and thats where I noticed the L shaped angle was missing totally. Could this be the problem?
I installed the C6 Z06 shifter and its the same thing. The car just refuses to find 3rd gear while power shifting, I can bang the hell out of 2nd but 3rd just won't find the gate no matter what I do.
Any suggestions?

Having two different posts on the same topic might be confusing to some.
I just replied in your other post about the intended (temporary to hold alignment in neutral only) use of the alignment pin aka "L shaped angle tube".

thanks, I'm just lost now on why I can't seem to find 3rd gear. Maybe I will let someone else drive my car that drives theirs like Im intending too and see if they have issues.

Sounds like you may have a transmission and/or clutch issue. The 3rd gear syrcros don’t seem to hold very well when abused.
