Sqeaking Noise
Need Help. . .
Have a bad sqeaking noise under the hood!
I have a gatorback belt. It had been on for about
2-3 months before the noise came. I had it checked
out-They removed the belts, turned each pulley/tensioner
and could not find a sqeak. . .Put the belts back on
and sqeaked. . Wire brushed the belts and no sqeak.
Is this normal for a belt to sqeak after a few months, its
been cold cold weather-Is there another belt recommended
or is there likely another culprit?
Any ideas is appreaciated

They cleaned the belt with a wire brush and the noise stops for about
30 seconds. However, when I looked down at the harmonic balancer, it seems to have alot of vibration/play in it. I asked the mechanic and he said it was "fine." Should the harmonic balancer be visibly "vibrating or shaking?" Can SOMEONE please recommend a good VETTE mechanic in the Louisville area? It seems as if nobody wants to spend an extra second trying to diagnose problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have yet to take it to a mechanic and get it back FIXED within one try!
