Climate control different between 97 and 2000?

Climate control different between 97 and 2000?
My 97 climate control module display is fading out. A new GM replacement part is $900 :eek:. So I found a working one for a 2000 for $44 and bought it in the hopes that it will work in my 97.
Does anyone know if it will? :confused:

well.......you already bought it so you might as well try to install it and see if it works. you have nothing to loose.
