Default LSA question

Can someone explain a LSA of 113 +2? Does it mean there was 2 degrees of advance ground in the cam? If so, what is the advantage. Cam in question is 228/232 on a 113+2 lsa 588/584

Thanks

I searched and could only come up with 113 LSA before people call me lazy.

you are right, the advance is just built into the cam, i believe its basically a 115 lsa cam.

What an LSA of 113 means is the cam has a lobe seperation angle of 113' between the intake and exhaust lobe centerlines. the +2 means that the cam was ground with 2' of advance.....making the intake centerline (ICL) 111' past TDC when you install it "dot to dot". The seperation between the intake and exhaust is still 113'. The +2 advance enhances the low end power slightly.
