Default C5..Inside Outside Temperature Readings?

I've always wanted a car that had guages informing of inside and outside temperature. Alas, my 2001 C5 informs of neither.

The question is, was this later available on either the C5 or C6 and, if so, could it be retrofitted.

And, by the way, I'm still looking for 1 Good Year Run Flat OEM, front tire for the front left of my 2001 C5, if someone has a real nice one at a reasonable price, shipped to 07090. Mine's developed a bubble on the outer sidewall, but the other 3 tires, with 31,000 miles, are in superb condition. I'm going on month four of this search.

Thanks

I'm guessing you've got the "Manual" HVAC system. The "Automatic" system shows the outside air temp, but the manual system has no display panel to show information.

The manual system does not care about the inside or outside temperatures ... it is controlled by you ....

The automatic system measures both inside and outside temperatures, plus other factors (sun load) so it is a completely different system.

Indeed, I have the manual system. About the only option I got was...well, nothing. I was hoping there were some functions later added to the computer readouts, under Gages, along with trans temp, oil temp, tire press., etc. Don't know why...always wanted those two gages.

P.S.--Still looking for that tire. I'll be buying some Michelin Run Flats next spring...but would like to stretch these OEMs, if I can

You could probably swap out your rear view mirror for one that has temp and a compass...I'm pretty sure there are a few vehicles out there that you could get one from.

You are asking this question in the wrong place ... the topic heading doesn't cover it, and you're better off trying to buy/sell stuff in the .... WOW .... buy/sell forum .......
