Default Help!

Ok, i'm a noob, so please feel free to bash.
Now, my q is, What is this? I looked under the hood to find the L shaped rubber tube starting to degrade, (upper righthand area of the image 7 shaped tube)

i followed it to the passenger side, under the plastic cover and it seems its broken on that side, well it IS broken like completely in 2 right before the valve thing. What is going on here ?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Hard to tell from the pics, but I'm guessing your seeing the PCV hose. It's about 1/2" rubber hose, that can get brittle and crack or split over time. If so, you can get some hose from an auto parts store and replace it.

Cool, thanks. I actually figured it out upon removing the entire plastic cover i discovered the entire PCV tubing was damaged at various places and ended up finding only 1 dealer who actually had one in stock so i replaced the whole thing...a fun morning!

Yeah, that looks like a PCV valve for sure, but what year is the car? I know it doesn't go there on the '99's for sure.
