How do you disconnect the braided slave cylinder line that runs through a hole in the bell housing? The other end runs to a plastic piece near the firewall and it has a cotter pin lock, is that the disconnect point?
yep. This is the biggest PITA ever. I used a vey small blade screw driver and pushed in the release valve while holding the cylinder part with my other hand. The worst design on the corvette IMO. I plan on testing some form of alternative set up next time I have to drop the clutch. I have no idea the point of this design. Be patient with it, it will eventually come loose. If you are replacing the slave and master, just cut the dang thing. Thats what I did the first time. After doing it two times, I will have some other set up.
