Default Not your typical headlight problem
problem resolved with new headlight

Below the painted top are four white nuts standing off of studs. The top actually sits on these four nuts. Those are the levelers for the painted top. Turning them will adjust the height of the individual corners. HTH.

I'd guess that You bent the metal brackets of the headlight assembly. Can You check against the other light??

Post those photos - they may help. The discription of the impact in your second post helps also. Even a 5-MPH crash is a LOT of force. Bracket damage seems reasonable.
