I have an 04 coupe with a recurring PS pump problem (only 17K miles and I'm on my third pump). Can anyone recommend a good shop in northern New Jersey (I'm located in Bergen County) that might be able to solve this problem? I received poor service at the local Chevy dealership where I bought the car (for pumps 1 and 2). The third pump was installed at another shop, but it started leaking after 1K miles. I was told that this is primarily dut to a pump design problem that is common, but I don't know why it can't be permanently fixed.
Cartek is located at 63 South Avenue - Garwood, NJ 07027. They are a very reputable shop. Their phone number is (908)-317-4496. Call and talk to Dave Busch. He is very helpful.
Talk to Jimmy at paramus auto mall right off the GS parkway at RT 17.
If he's still at that dealership, he does great dealership work. He re-ringed my car, and installed all the bolt ons at the same time. Seemed like a regular guy

Since my car is mainly for road race I wanted a better pump and ended with a pump from the company that supplies all of the pumps for Nextel. It wasnt expensive and works.
