Clutch free play?
I installed a Spec Stage 2 clutch into the car, and now I have about 3/4's of an inch of free play before the pedal gets firm. Its been bled very well (the clutch is bled about every 2 weeks, so I have it down to an art) I know your supposed to have some free play on older vehicles (half inch or so), but I've never experienced this with newer cars that I am aware of. Is this normal or do I need to shim the slave cylinder? It feels like the slave is pushing the pressure plate fine, but the very apparent free travel bothers me.
Any insight?
