Default Seat and visor issues

I have looked through numerous grounding posts but have not found one that relates to my problem. This is more of an annoyance then anything else but I hope somebody can help with it. I have found two things that I hope connect to the same ground point; 1. I have found that the controls for the drivers seat controlling the side bolsters and bladders only work occasionally. 2. I have installed a sun visor with garage door control and the strange thing this unit does is if you try to operate the garage door control with the car off it will not work, but if you open the visor mirror so the lights inside the visor come on then close the mirror the control will work. Sounds strange I know. Does anybody know if these two items go to a common ground? I would like to target one ground so I know if I correct the problem before just cleaning all of them and not knowing what it was that may of fix the issue. One other thing the passengers visor mirror lights only work or rare occasion. The car is a 97.

Thanks for your help,
Ethan

Try cleaning the contacts in the two seat connectors that match the seat to the car. They do wear a bit due to the seat moving back and forth. As for your visor, it sounds like its wired wrong but you might be correct with the ground on it too. Picking up the needed ground only when the lamp turns on. Someone in here will have a schematic for the ground location.
