Default What are these bumps? (no pics)

On the interior black plastic side panels above the top seat belt anchor are molded bumps on both sides about the size of a pack of cigerettes (but smoothed all around)
What's under there?

Thanks for any help, don't want to take off the panel just to find out.

They are required to meet new rollover requirements. Something about keeping your head from getting between seat and roof. They are only on later year cars.

True, true, but there is also the MAGIC CHIP in there, through which the gov'ment TRACKS US and KNOWS PRECISELY where we go and HOW FAST we get there.

Not in my case! I outsmarted them! I wear a tin foil cap on my head to keep out their radio waves as well as the MAGIC CHIP receiver waves from that pesky spacecraft that keeps following me overhead all the time. Plus I did Cowboy's foil insulation kit throughout the complete interior except for a small porthole on the driver's side windshield to see thru. Next week I might paint my C5 with stealth aircraft paint and become invisible. But YOU MIGHT BE RIGHT about the GOV. tracking us - it's called "ON STAR".

I recently did the Cowboy's foil insulation, too. Am I now more detectable on radar or less? It never occurred to me before and should I have stuffed those compartments on the insides of the headliner with extra insulation?
