Turn signal /cruise control column replacement
For years I have enjoyed the massive information section of this site for DIY projects. Today I just replaced my turn signal /crusie control column switch in my 2000. It took me about an hour. I did not have to remove the steering wheel or center console. What I did have to remove was :
1. Sheilding under column (be careful about the inside temp. sensor)
2. Column cover
3. Metal Bracket behind sheilding under column
5. Unscrewed both screws holding turning switch. (one on top and one in the front between switch and steering wheel "that was the hardest part")
6. Unclipped the two electrical clips.
7. Replaced in reverse order.
I had to replace the turning switch because of parking light issue.
If you find yourself with not parking lights or interior lights but your headlights still turn on if you twist all the way..... It's your sensor inside the actual turning signal switch on the column. Stealership price around $300. online @ ebay around $135 new. hopefully this can help out someone with this issue.
Again thanks for to all you guys...
