Just bought a exedy twin disk and I was wondering how long this clutch will last with normal driving, (cars under 500 RWHP). It just seems like there is not a whole lot of a surface on the clutch disk. Thanks
I ran mine for about 1 yr, before replacing it. It showed little to no wear at that time. They start to slip once you reach 500+ rwhp. It should last a long time if driven correctly. You absolutely can not slip that clutch, if you do a lot of city driving and slip it a lot it will not last 3K miles.
I will say that the best thing that I ever done for my car was replacing the Exedy twin with a Tex single.

Good Luck!
TTT I have heard different, beside the tex being bad azz, any other opinions.
lingenfelter uses exedy twin disc i his 600-800 twin turbo vettes... while mine isnt at that level of hp (it is at 430) it has zero issues. it does take a bit of finess (sp) to learn to drive with this heavy of a clutch and a bit of chatter in the city.
