Default 4L60E non-computer lockup?

Hi everyone
I'm here from the C3 forum, and have asked this question there and someone suggested I ask it here, so here I am lol. I'm hoping someone here can help!
I have an '81 that has a 355 and a TH350 - and have just picked up a 4L60E that I'm hoping to put in in order to have overdrive and save some rpm's on the freeway. I have just about everything figured out, except the TCC lockup. I'm gonna go full manual with it, because there's no computer in the car. Plus, I love shifting! The transgo 4L60E-3 full manual kit will get me past the first hurdle, but it won't get my converter to lock up. Does anyone here know how to rig up a solenoid, switch or maybe a kit to get me past the last step? I'm a noob to anything electrical, but I can follow directions like no other LOL .
I hope noone minds me coming over, but I have no one else to ask.
Thanks for the time, I hope to hear from someone soon,

Jeff

It is more common to install a 700r4 in older cars and for that there are kits to lock up the TC. I forget how they work but they may work for a 4l60e. By the way, it is bad to drive one of these without locking up the TC - they will overheat.
