went out to start my {2001 zo6} and rolled the window down. Shortly after i rolled it back up, and now it is stuck in closed position. The passanger side works fine so i assume its not fuse related. Any help would be great. Thanks and happy easter.
The window regulator motor can fail without warning. You might be able to tap on it and get it to work for awhile, but once they mess up, you might as well just replace the regulator assembly and save a lot of aggrivation.
Wouldnt think it would give a code. Does it click when you push the button?
Is it just dead or will it move a little? Was it giving you trouble before this with an odd noise or sound of straining or was this the first sign of trouble?
First, remove the inside door panel and just disconnect the electric connection for the motor. This has worked for me in the past.
If you have to replace the motor - you can get a complete set-up or just the motor from Ebay. Make sure you mark your glass positions before removal.
Second, search this site for articles on electric ground cleaning. I did this several years ago and all my weird electric problems went away.
