I finally have my headers installed and im going to put my cam in. I confused about what will be the best cam for my car. I want a cam that makes good torque and horsepower. I have a 2001 corvette with A4 it currently has volant CAI, TSP LT's with off road X pipe, B&B bullets... Im going to run a yank 3600 stall, LS2 timing chain, and the dual spring kit from TSP... im just having trouble figuring out what cam to go with. what cam's are you guys running? what kind of horsepower and torque are you making? any dyno graphs? thanks as always for all the help

I feel my RPM-2 cam is a good choice.. its a 232/234 on a 112. It give great power and TQ. esp for an auto car it will work very well. Anything in that range will work well.
I went with the torquer3 from TSP 231/234 .643/.598 and im putting down 421/381on my 02z w lg streets. It has a nice lope to let you know there is something in there. Overall, I am very happy with the cam. I didn't want something that would make my car sound like it was a drag car. Driveability isnt bad either, the TSP mail tune has proved to be a good value in my book after seeing what some shops charge for dyno and street tuning (I may elect to do that if I do further upgrades). Since you haven't listed heads, I'm going to assume you have the LS1 heads with no work done to them. If that is the case, I would seriously consider what you are looking to get out of the car and what you want to do with it at this point so you don't spend more money than you have to in the long run (heads, cams and tuning). Talk to Jon at TSP, he will be willing to suggest a nice set up and you can go from there.
I have the exact same cam, 232/234 .595/.598 on a 112lsa from Texas speed, their "torquer V2". I made 426/392 in an 02 with a M6 transmission on a dynojet. Its a great cam, I didnt lose any low power/torque, but 3000rpm and up, it pulls like a freight train. I drive the car quite a bit on the street and its not annoying in traffic to drive. It does shake a bit at idle, but I like that.
yea i want a cam with an aggressive lope that makes good power but im concerned with the auto about where the cam makes most of its power like the torquer to makes top end power just like an MS3 but the make good horsepower.. the car isn't a DD... im plan on running stock heads for now does anyone have dyno graphs
Good choice for a car that is NOT required to pass smog--The largest mistake made in cam selection is going too small--I would keep the lift around .550-.575 ---- no need to push the reliability envelope to the extreme--Don't forget to get moly push rods as well as new springs--
