What is the best, cheapest and easiest way to lower a C5?
The "best" is probably quality coil over shocks, but most chose the "cheapest and easiest" with oem or longer lowering bolts and/or cutting the bushings.
You'll need to get an four wheel alignment after you lower the car or you'll be replacing expensive tires faster than you'd like to.
If you lower to much, you'll need to think about changing shocks.
Well I did the one side not cutting the bushing just tightened the lowering bolt all the way and it didn't make that much difference. I need a good two inches. How can I get that? Cutting the bushing would have given me only 1/2 inch.

Mine is lowered 1 5/8" in the front. I could only get that by removing the front bolts. Believe me 1 5/8" is pretty low for the front. My air dam is only 1 1/2" off the road.
