Default can't get gauge cluster out

Anybody know how to get that damn thing out? I can't even get the outer black plastic trim off. I took the two screws out of the top but I don't see anymore to take out. I know on most cars you can just pop the outer plastic trim right off and then get to the cluster.

thanks guys. I was trying to get it out because my tach is off. I'm thinking maybe somebody didn't get the needle back on right.

If you take that needle off it will be a problem down the road...

well I am thinking that somebody already done it. My plan was to monitor the idle with EFI Live and reposition the needle. Maybe that won't work.

haha, it wasn't me, I can't even get the cluster out. I'm just guessing that maybe somebody has messed with it because why else would it be off? I noticed it being off a while back when I was logging the car. My tach said it was idling at 975 and the EFI Live said it was 620.

I'm guessing you still don't have it out yet, therefore you need to lower the steering column in order for it to pass the steering wheel. There are two 13mm nuts that hold it up. Just take them off and it will drop like 2 inches allowing easy access. Reach behind it as you pull it out and press the connector retainer clip in with your right thumb and wiggle the connector off. Put something on the steering wheel to protect it.

If you go to this website and start at about step 15 of the dic led install it should solve the problem.
