Anybody know how to get that damn thing out? I can't even get the outer black plastic trim off. I took the two screws out of the top but I don't see anymore to take out. I know on most cars you can just pop the outer plastic trim right off and then get to the cluster.
My only question is who is that someone who took off the needle??
haha, it wasn't me, I can't even get the cluster out. I'm just guessing that maybe somebody has messed with it because why else would it be off? I noticed it being off a while back when I was logging the car. My tach said it was idling at 975 and the EFI Live said it was 620.
I saw a post where this fella did take his needles out.I almost did when I installed my white guage faces but decided my gonads werent big enough to go for it. How in the world will you re-calibrate them??
I'm guessing you still don't have it out yet, therefore you need to lower the steering column in order for it to pass the steering wheel. There are two 13mm nuts that hold it up. Just take them off and it will drop like 2 inches allowing easy access. Reach behind it as you pull it out and press the connector retainer clip in with your right thumb and wiggle the connector off. Put something on the steering wheel to protect it.
