I just need more traction, so I'm thinking in a wider tires.
Anyone knows some wider than the 295/35 that I actually have??
Thanks!!

Search http://www.Tirerack.com & http://www.treadepot.com Between those too, you've covered every major tire brand made.
BTW, Pirelli makes a 315/30/18.

315/30/18 are new from Pirelli.....it´s the only chance, but the tire diameter is a little small!!!
305/35 and 315/35 ....... no chance in 18" :(
I would love to get some 315/35/18 myself !!!

The Bridgestone Potenza S02 ( not the pole Position)has a 11.7" tread width on a 295-35-18 tire. Section width is about the same as other brands but most only have a tread width of 10.5 to 10.7. Height is 26.3". I just ordered a set. should be here today.

Right now there aren't many choices for the size you mentioned. I wish you could get a Pilot Sport or G-Force KD in that size.

MattG posted about them a few weeks ago, so he seems to know wher you could get them.
Send him an IM, and you will know soon.

Alright, now I'm confused. You just brought in a whole new set of variables that I never considered before. Can someone please school me in this (tread width, OD, section width, etc.)? Why are there differences between the same sized tire (295x35x18)? Pros/cons? Is it actually a wider tire or does it just look that way. I was trying to get the info from tirerack, but the website keeps crashing. Thanks.

There are a few 295x35x18 S-02's around yet that had the widest footprint. The 03 doesn't come in the 295 size.
Contact a good Firestone/Bridgestone Dealer and he can still get you the 02's

Hoosier makes some 305/'s but they are for road racing. Very sticky but with a treadwear rating of only 50. Z06 tires have 200 treadwear and most passenger car tires are 300.
50's don't last very long.

The diameter is going to be the same within tolerances of any tire with the same numbers all the way through. The first number is actually the section width. This is the widest part of the tire - where it bulges. This can vary slightly based on the wheel width. Most mfrs list the section width based on a median recommended wheel width. The tread width varies. You have to look at their spec sheets to see what it is. In fact, I don't think Michelin even lists tread width. If you look at some tires, that's why they may not look as wide as others (the Firestone run-flat is a good example. Looks noticably narrower than the factory Goodyear).
For anyone who does not know, the first number is the mm width of the section as stated above, the second number is how high the tire is as a % of the width. To get OD, take the width X "aspect ratio" X 2 + rim OD X 25.5 and divide that by 25.5 (25.5 mm per inch).

RajunCajunf-- Do you have a problem with the 335's rubbing on the inside? I'm assuming you car is not tubbed. Do they stick out past the fender?
