I'm working on installing a set of clear corner lights on my coupe but have run into a problem of sorts. No matter how I go about tightening the two fasteners (10MM Bolt towards center and 8MM screw towards outer edge) and reattached the spring. the bottom of the lens doesn't sit flat on the bumper. It looks to be raised about 3/16” at one end (point nearest center). Is there something I'm missing that I can't get it to sit flush like the stock ones do? Here is a pic of what I'm referring to (borrowed from someone else’s post, but the light looks the same). Notice the gap along the bottom of the light in the picture is wider towards the center. Mine is a little bit worse than this one.
Any idea's?
On the ones I just installed I had a problem with them not sitting on the cover at each end. LOoking at the bottom of the housing I noticed a couple little legs moulded into the housing. Took care of that with my dremmel. It did help allot.Dont have any pics of that .Foolish me:o

I did notice those two little nubs on the bottom of the lights but found that the stock ones had them too. I'll have to check into whether removing them will help. It just may do it. Shimming may also be an option, but it may just increase the gap all the way across. I'll check out both options later today.

As I indicated, maybe a shim just on one end might do the trick.
